The 4th Annual Project Blue Light Law Enforcement Christmas Tree Lighting, and the Lighting of the Town Christmas Tree, were both held at Garrett D. Wall Park. Visitors enjoyed the Town Crier, Christmas Carols, free Hot Chocolate, Cookies, and a Hay Ride with Santa.

Saturday, December 11, 2010 The "Downtown Shoppers' Trail" promoted downtown participating merchants who hosted open houses. For example, Rigo's Hardware Store invited its customers to join them and Santa for a free pig roast.
Visitors to the various open houses were entered to win valuable gift certificates when they submit their initialed Brochures at the end of the afternoon.
The Belvidere Public Library held its annual "Learn how to make a Christmas ornament" class.
The Belvidere Garden Club raised funds by selling holiday wreaths and grave blankets in front of Water Street Antiques shoppe.
Water Street Antiques hosted an Art Exhibit featuring local adult and children artists, as well as a demonstration by Kirt Klenk, a talented wood turner.
Belle Reve Bed and Breakfast hosted a Holiday High Tea. The Country Gate Theater performed a Holiday Revue.
The Belvidere Bistro, Thisilldous, and Uncle Buck's offered special holiday luncheons.
Sunday, December 12, 2010 A large variety of vendors particpated in a Spectacular Gift Marketplace at the Belvidere High School. The event also included a Children's Fashion Show and free pictures with Santa.
The Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion hosted its 1st Monthly Breakfast. The event also included pictures with Santa, free cookies, hot cocoa and goodie bags.
