Rutgers MBA Team
Final Presentation

The Belvidere Economic Development Committee submitted an application to become a client of the Rutgers University MBA Team Consulting Program. We were accepted and assigned a team of six MBA students that would study Belvidere.

The final presentation of the Rutgers MBA students took place at the Town Council meeting on June 20th, 2005 at the Belvidere Municipal Building.

The purpose of this study was to determine what types of businesses would best survive and prosper in our town - what can our local economy support and build upon. We are also looking for suggestions as to how our town can provide incentives for prospective businesses.

Local businesses serve a necessary function to the people who live here. They provide jobs and services close to home as well as the personalized touch of dealing with familiar faces, friends and neighbors, all of which makes Belvidere a more desirable place to live.
