Belvidere Environmental Commission

The Belvidere Environmental Commission is sponsoring an "Earth Day Litter Cleanup" on Saturday, April 22, 2006 from 10:00 am to noon.

Join in with your friends, family and neighbors to celebrate Earth Day by volunteering to cleanup our environment and help make Belvidere Beautiful!

Meet at Hriczak Field by 10 am, get your supplies and 'litter map' then see how much litter your group can find as you walk around town. Meet back at the field by noon with your collection of litter and a get a free tree to take home and plant! Participants will also receive T-shirts and other handouts!

Groups are asked to pre-register at 475-8115. Drivers with pickup trucks are need to help haul the collected litter.
