The Music of Our Lives: Country Gate at 35 -- Musical Revue
March 11th, 18th, and 25th at 8:00PM. Marchth at 2:00PM

A musical retrospective marking the 35th anniversary of the Country Gate Players. We’ll be recreating some of the memorable musical moments from our past and pondering some melodic possibilities in our future. Through it all, we’ll be reflecting on our collaborative organizational history. It’s sure to be an entertaining production that you won’t want to miss

The Women - Comedy / Drama
May 6th, 13th and 20th at 8:00PM. May 21st at 2:00PM

This brilliant play, by Claire Booth Luce, has assumed the status of a modern classic. Aside from the novelty of its involving a large cast of women (no male characters at all) it is an immensely entertaining panorama of our modern metropolitan world from the feminine viewpoint.

Footloose - Musical
July 22nd, 29th and August 5th at 8:00PM. August 6th at 2:00PM

This highly successful musical is based on the 1984 movie of the same name. It tells the story of a big city kid who moves to a small conservative town where rock music and dancing are frowned upon. The hero of the story rallies the kids and takes on the town’s establishment. Songs from the energetic score include: Let’s Hear It For The Boy, Holding Out for a Hero, and of course, Footloose

Dracula - Drama
September 16th, 23rd and 30th at 8:PM, October 1st at 2:00PM

This is one of the great mystery thrillers and is generally considered among the best of its kind. Lucy Seward, whose father is the doctor in charge of an English sanitarium has been attacked by some mysterious illness. Dr. Van Helsing, a specialist, believes that the girl is the victim of a vampire, a sort of ghost that goes about at night sucking blood from its victims. The vampire if at last found to be a certain Count Dracula. The play is intended for all who love thrills in the theater.

Cinderella - Family Musical
December 2nd, 9th and 16th at 8:PM, December 17th at 2:00PM

The timeless enchantment of a magical fairy tale is reborn with the Rogers and Hammerstein hallmarks of originality, charm and elegance. Originally presented on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews, Rogers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella transports us to the miraculous kingdom of dreams-come-true. As adapted for the stage, with great warmth and more than a touch of hilarity, the hearts of children and adults alike still soar when the slipper fits.
