Warren County War Memorial
The Warren County War Memorial,
located next to the Warren
County Courthouse was the vision of Leo Becker,
historian of the Belvidere American Legion Post 131.
In seeing a need to recognize the service men and
woman of Warren County who died in combat during World
Ward I and II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War,
Mr. Becker presented his ideas to local veterans and
a committee was formed in 1997. The nine granite slabs
are from India. The memorial was dedicated on Veteran's
Day, November 11, 1998.
